Home cook, school cafeteria worker, line cook, kitchen manager, catering manager--time spent behind the stove during the last thirty-five years. In 2002, I compiled my recipe collection as a Christmas present for family and friends. After I finished the project, I missed the process and have continued to talk about my year in food. This year I thought I'd learn a new skill and write a blog. Included will be random stories and thoughts in "Life by the Drop" along with recipes I find, create, or remember that work for me.
